The NHC has not even started tracking the area of potential development as can be seen in the graphic below.

However, we can see the projected development area has recurved to the north when compared to the imagery from yesterday.

The comparison of tracks, if stands, bodes well for coastal Gulf of Mexico residents and businesses. The Gulf, as is well known, is a hot-bed for rapid development of tropical systems. This year is no different.

The waters contain a lot of heat, needed fuel for the considerable development of storms.

My concern is with the chaos which is our federal government, if we do experience catastrophic damage from these storms, will FEMA be there to help those in need? In years past, this was not a fear nor a concern. Now, I’m not so sure.

I’ll be continuing to watch, summarize and report.
