| Aware | Not necessarily watching the news, but checking in on the Tropics every couple days. This level is a smidgen higher than knowing we are in Hurricane season. |
| Watching | There is a developed system in the Atlantic projected to threaten the US East Coast, Florida. |
| Concerned | There is a low-pressure system or higher in the Gulf of Mexico. Rehearse and discuss evacuation plans with family, friends and neighbors. Check your preparedness list and start executing needed actions. |
